A resource that is helpful for in person learning is bingo. I use bingo when doing figurative language. They have to find the synonym or antonym of the word that is said. A resource that is helpful for virtual learning is Khan Academy. I've used more videos this year to help explain content. The videos on Khan Academy are short, able to be translated, and engaging.
The resources that I use in my class is googling information on the internet ie youtube using the term how to professionally give services to clients such as hair cuts and color.
Since we try to use technology the majority of the time this year a lot of my resources can be used for both virtual and in-person learning. This year I have used www.wheelofnames.com to chose scholars to read and answer questions, I have used Jeopardy.com for review on their standards before quizzes and assessments. We have used flip grid more when we are virtual to do tongue twisters for our morning meetings and also for other media projects that incorporate with our standards; and on PD days I typically use nearpod for my interactive presentations to see if my scholars are understanding what we are learning.

ReplyDeleteI tried to use Flip Grid earlier this year, but the scholars were overwhelmed. I think that I can revisit it next year.

ReplyDeleteA resource I have recently learned about is Blooklet. It is engaging and the students really love learning with this new technology tool.
